Harbor Bay is a sim of many wonders! With an amazing Beach and amazing Bistro, you cannot go wrong here. With soo many photo opportunities here, you really will be eating up hard drive space and Flickr space trying to take as many photos as you can. This place is a community and people live here, so please be respectful and use your cam to see where you are headed. This quiet sim has the most relaxing and amazing views you can ever ask for and it kind of reminds me of Blithe (a sim of wonder created by Harlow Heslop).

This sim is so huge, you would need to spend a few hours exploring every part of it, cause the details are mind blowing. The thoughtfulness that went into creating this sim is why it is blog worthy. Some parts of the sim have 12 on the traffic list and some parts have over a 100 but below 300. (that is probably because this place is brand new).

Sit around this place for a while enjoy the music over the stream and the waterfalls! I took my time and sat down to really get a feel for this location. I hope you do the same. Great place to meet up with friends, great location for rolelplay with your lover, and plenty of photo ops.. you just cannot go wrong visiting this place. Get here before the rest of SL does. (i doubt alot of SL even knows this place exist!)

Enjoy!

Entering a dark alley, the rain pummeling me, I head toward the only open door. An art gallery greets me, it's warm and inviting, but the door has been open a little while. The cold air sweeps across the floor chilling me to the bone. Van Gogh's Starry Night over the Rhone hangs on the wall, while his self-portrait leans against the same wall. Weird, someone put these paintings up and left the door ajar? They can't be real, maybe they are replicas?

The little gallery offered a piece of meaningful advice as I began to wonder why the globe had no continents. "Collect moments not things." It touched me in a way that in that very moment I tried to stay present and remember every detail of the room.

Walking back out into the alley, the uncovered manhole was oddly inviting. Dropping to my knees, peering in, I could smell beer, and hear the faint music from an old timey jukebox. It had that background scratch noise, giving it a sense of realness to my ears.

I climbed down the ladder and to my surprise and entire underground bar awoke my senses. The rain providing an echo in between records. I walk over to the stage and tap the mic. There was no one there, why not sing a solo? Wrapping my hands around the microphone, I found my voice to Dark Doo Wop by MS MR in a empty bar underneath a Rainy Alley, maybe you should stick around.

What a gem this place is. An amazing club that is not even open yet. I had to cam in to sneak a few photos but I'm not giving away their entire layout so I think its ok. (God I hope they don't get pissed). The name for this location is perfect. There is alot of water moving around here and even from my little spot (through the ban lines) I can see how amazing this location will be. With traffic under 300(yasss!). This spot has the potential to climb to the top spot and be a real contender with the rest of the clubs trying to keep all the new ones at the bottom. Not to mention, this sim made me thirsty af. Like it made me feel like drinking  nice ice cold water(which I am about to do).

With a few nice seating areas, my only wish is that more "modern" furniture was used here.. (maybe some safari prints or wicker chairs?) but this (photo above) was the most modern furniture I could find on the entire sim. However, what they lack in regards to the furniture, they make up for it with the waterfalls and sim layout. I enjoyed it although I could not walk through it like I wanted. Not sure if this place is open or not, I just thought it was an amazing find and I really enjoyed the streaming music here, even if it was just a radio station, it fit the vibe of the sim.
Check this place out when its open to the public. Enjoy!

When you first get here you would think there is only one club on the sim, how wrong you would be. With a buff bouncer guarding the front doors, this deep house sim has alot of soul. The vibe here is awesome and the decor leaves an impression. Upscale and Dive at the same time. Chicago Warehouse is home to two (the only buildings with bouncers) deep house clubs. The Soul Project is what brought me here, (soul is the best thing to have) and then after further exploration I came across The Vibe.

The music on the stream had 0 commercials (love that). The mindfulness and energy that went into making this place is awesome. I can totally see myself and a group of friends club hopping at this sim. This sim makes you want to walk through the streets. Have random conversations about stuff and throw beer bottles at the brick walls. Once you get to the other side of the sim, you are greeted by The Vibe and although the set up sticks with the sim theme, the decor is totally different, and more sassy than Soul Project.

With meaningful signs placed about, Good Vibes is all you can get here. I love ample seating, nothing makes me feel more awesome than a nice chair to park my ass and chat. This sim seems like it would attract people who actually have something to say besides gesturing and standing around holding up the brick walls.

The bar area is so visually busy, surely it would serve as an amazing roleplay tool. With bar stools that go beyond the norm and awesome lighting, this little spot is sure to warm your heart and keep you coming back.

Enjoy!

Just strolling down the boardwalk next to Bella Bistro(a very popular restaurant)I only came here to sit down with my fiance to discuss wedding invitations, but even after he went to bed, I did not want to leave. Walking along the bridge, I began playing with the settings for a nice picture of myself. That's when curiosity struck me. I came across this hotel. The outside is decorated with lounge chairs, and the moment you walk in you are greeted with a blast of personality(the entire sim has this unique energy of its own). The recessed lighting gave the entrance this modern feel while the wooden counter gave it an old timey feel. The mixture of modern and traditional textiles just lures one into what else this place has to offer.

If it was not for my curiosity I never would have found this place...A few places I have covered have been featured on the destination list...

Second Norway is the name of the sim and this Hotel Bryggen was made for this blog. If it was not for my curiosity I never would have found this place. (Speaking of finding places, since I started this blog a few of  the places I have covered have been getting attention(Enchanted Tiki for starters). Even with their traffic being low, they are being recognized by Lindens and placed on the destination list.) We are talking under 300 on the traffic reading. Walking down the stairs, you enter this dining area, complete with a fireplace. A buffet table sits off in the corner and this fireplace just grabs your attention on the way down the stairs. I have never seen one like it before. Complete with a china cabinet and it even has china in it! (yes, china in it!). The ceiling was even interesting, exposed wood with intricate carvings, this place just kept getting better.

Once you come down from the high of the fireplace, if you take the time to go upstairs (I took the stairs the first time, I wish I didn't, keep reading to find out why) you will find a hallway with several doors. These hotel rooms are beyond amazing. Complete with vanities, art, taxidermy and very pleasing wallpaper, I actually wanted to rent a room here for like a month. The bathrooms are complete with toilets and bathtubs. Even one of the tubs in the other room was a clawfoot tub(the kind every woman wants, deep down men love them too, lol).

The bearskin rug under your feet and the amazing windows letting the sunrise hit your face, this place is one that really deserves as much attention as possible. The thoughtfulness is what I live for, the attention to details and the placement is what drives me to visit and explore. Upon exiting the room, I noticed the elevator, usually I refuse to pay any elevator any mind because nine times out of ten they disappointment with a "Sit" button or a right click teleport button and that just kills my vibe. But, I regretted instantly not clicking on the button when those "normal" options did not appear. My thoughts began racing, "Is this a real elevator?", "I am actually waiting for an elevator?", "OOO I wonder what it will look like inside.." and when those golden doors open, my heart lit up like  fireworks on a summer night. That plush carpet and those gold framed panels met my eyes and I was in love.

My thoughts began racing, "Is this a real elevator?", "I am actually waiting for an elevator?"

Love struck me again as I pushed the button to go back down to the lobby, and the elevator ride was sooo smooth. Hardly any jumping, (usually when something moves your avatar your screen jumps around) No kind of discomfort and when the doors opened, I hated getting off the marvelous thing. I even rode it two more times just for fun. The owner of this place took their time and methodically placed everything, (even the luggage carriage for the bellhop is amazing).

I will not ruin what other surprises awaits you in this amazing place. I'll give one hint. (walk through the exit door in the Dining Area) You will be floored at the creativity that went into making this place.

News: There is a group now, /Digital Exploration/, I hope you join, it's only 44 Lindens. (like really? wtf you gonna do with 44 Lindens?) This group is for those who crave notices of new blog posts. (I advise you to join cause umm I would if I found a blog like this.)

When you first get here it looks like any other "Japanese style" location. The moment you walk in you get this amazing feeling. With water as the center stage of this location, whoever terraformed this section went through some trouble. You know when a sim owner is lazy, they skip out on the "real water"(the only water that picks up any "effects"). Some go through the laughable motions of "making water" when you got an entire sim full of it to use at your discretion (plus "real" water looks better). The seating areas are separated like private rooms, adding to the appeal of this sexy place.

Once you get to the other side of the spa, you see the most amazing backdrop of mountains. You feel like you have went somewhere far away.

With open dance poles, you can give your sweety (or plaything) a private show in the most zen location on the grid. With some really sexy music on the stream (Janet Jackson-Any Time, Any Place) you cannot go wrong with this place. Once you get to the other side of the spa, you see the most amazing backdrop of mountains. You feel like you have went somewhere far away. With bonsai trees dancing in the background as you shake your thing for your lover, this place is bound to get you in the mood. Enjoy.

This little cafe in the middle of a snowy forest left me utterly speechless. The attention to detail is amazingly executed here. From the wooden plank walkway to the outside seating area for two, this cafe is the perfect getaway for any couple or group of friends. It is inviting and warm. The picturesque mountains create this feeling of a foreign land.

(Pictures also available on my Flickr)

The folding patio doors are utterly amazing...

Once you get inside this little cafe you will find yourself staring in amazement at the patio. The wire garden chairs and bottle of wine give it a restaurant atmosphere. The folding patio doors are utterly amazing (been looking for a house with these). The moment you click them you realize they stay open, creating an open space but also keeping you involved with the activities inside.

Once you finish checking out the cafe, if you take the time to move around the sim and explore a little, you will find this bridge and behind it, an amazing waterfall. I won't ruin all the surprises on this sim, I will leave some for you to find on your own. The stream is classical music, which adds to the appeal of this place. It is peaceful and thoughtful. This place is perfect for dates, meetings, or just hanging out. Enjoy!
