Club 54

 In the process of looking for a lounge I came across Club 54. When you land after teleport there is a wooden sign telling you which way to go. The feeling of amazingness had already wrapped its bear arms around me as I ran in the direction of the club. Across a green field of grass was the most amazing house music club. The glowing lights on the floor, the fireplace and the hanging lights brought a sense of intimacy to the place. Outside seating lit my soul up as the animations allowed me to put my feet on the table. In some cultures showing the bottom of your feet is seen as disrespectful, just as well as throwing your shoes is the ultimate disrespect. (we all remember Bush dodging the reporters shoes

The coziest part of the place is the seating around the fireplace. It's warm, inviting and has soo much character. The red carpet under your feet as you walk in sets the tone for a good time. You feel elite, good, apart of something when you are here. The details is what sets this place apart. Hopeful that the rest of second life will catch up to the appeal of visual comfort and how it plays a role in interactions. Conversation in clubs is lacking nowadays and it takes great effort to get people to chat instead of gesture. I encourage everyone to sit down with a friend in a spot like this and have a real conversation with them. So often people say Second Life is pointless if their agendas are not fulfilled, but maybe try not having one and you will discover something else. This second life we have been given can be grand and its places like this that actually encourage growth and community.
